£175,000 recovered for Mrs P who suffered nerve damage as a result of a surgical error

Post operatively Mrs P was advised that the median nerve to her fingers had been cut and as a result a repair operation had been performed.

Mrs P subsequently received physiotherapy and attended numerous out patient appointments.

Mrs P experienced significant difficulty using the injured hand. The thumb and first two fingers remained numb and painful and the hand stiff. Mrs P's grip became reduced and resulted in her dropping things and losing grip. The injury impacted upon every aspect of Mrs P's daily life.

The settlement sum of £175,000 was agreed following negotiations.
